Graffiti Wall

Nothing like drinking PBR and painting murals.....what else do you need in life?

"Merica" the short for America!

Ladder/step stool and tire with LSD what else is needed to paint a beautiful mural! 
This makes me think of a watch tower of  a prison with amazing public art all around it! 
Industrial Area + Public Art = The Graffiti Wall...simply amazing!

The Grove

The Fish Mural reminds me that you should just live your life to the fullest. Enjoy your friends, music and life in general. 

This picture represents all the popular staple places to eat in the Grove. Novak's which is now closed but was a very popular place for night life in the area.  

St.Louis Wall of Fame Mural is 30 feet and was painted in 2011.  The Youth from the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls club helped paint this mural as well as the artist Grace McCammond.
A very colorful piece of work that was finished in 2011.  It is called the Grovefest VI Robot Mural. 

This is located off Manchester Road on the side of Atomic Cowboy. This mural was painted in 2007 it is 5 feet by 25 feet, They call it Grovefest II Mayan Mural. 

City Garden

The Door of Return was built in 2001 by a Japanese artist Kan Yasuda.  The egg shape at the top of the door shows a seed that has just split open or a mouth that is open to the sky.  He wants you to think about....When you walk through the door what location are we returning to?

Zenit was built in 1999 by an Italian artist Mimmo Paladino.  This was built of steel and aluminum,  This seems to also be a place for homeless people to sleep peacefully see the back corner on the ground. 

Berner Venet, French artist built this sculpture in 1999. All her art is based on mathematics and they are bent in mathematical angles.  


Eros Bendato was built by a German artist Igor Mitoraj.  This was built to resemble the Greek god of love and desire.  The bandages on his face over his eyes and mouth  shows the desires and ideas have been imprisoned. 

La Riviere was built in bronze by Aristide Maillol, French artist  between 1938-1943.  This photo really depicts a beautiful fall day with the pumpkins in the background.

Cake Hunting

Cake #234 located at Castlewood Park.  Castlewood park was established in 1974. 

Eads Bridge cake near Lacledes Landing. Opened in 1874 as the worlds longest arch bridge in the world. 
This cake is located off Washing Ave where  in 1903 the Missouri Athletic Club was located..  
This cake is located int he City Gardens in downtown St.Louis off Market St. City Garden is a sculpture garden that opening in July 2009.  

Interested in Blues music? This cake is also located of Washington Ave.  It is located in front of the National Blue Museum
